That Girl

No matter how much I tried to avoid graduation, the fated day came…

Eventually I turned that frown upside down and got over all fear of entering “the real world.” Instead of worrying, I started to prep myself for what came next. Possibilities seemed endless: Do I enter the big bad world of Broadcast Journalism and fulfill my dream of moving to The Big Apple? Or postpone those plans for something a little different?

After numerous chats with confidants and many lists of my own outlining pros and cons of both, it became clear I needed to return to Madrid now if it was ever going to happen. So folks, until July 2012 I will be teaching at an elementary school outside of the city of Madrid in a tiny town called Estremera. I am serving as a Language Assistant as part of a program facilitated by the Spanish government. I’ll have plenty of free time which I’m sure will be full of discovering new places in the city, playing with friends in the park and, who am I kidding, eating lots of delicious food. Follow my journey on this blog and maybe, just maybe, you’ll be tempted to come visit!
